This policy explains what personal information Digital-tek ("we", "us") collects through digital-tek.co.uk, why, and what your rights are. We are the controller of that information under UK GDPR.

What we collect

  • Enquiries. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional), company, the service you are interested in, and your message.
  • Cookie choice. Your light/dark setting and your cookie choice are saved in your own browser. They are not sent to us.
  • Analytics (only if you accept). If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages are visited and which buttons are used. We have configured it to anonymise IP addresses.
  • Fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, prepare a quote. This is taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.
  • To understand which pages are useful, if you consent to analytics.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

Who sees it

Enquiries are handled by our team using email. Our email provider and, if analytics is on, Google process information for us. Where that involves transfers outside the UK, they rely on the safeguards those providers offer.

How long we keep it

If no work follows from an enquiry, we delete it within 12 months. If we work together, we keep project records for as long as the law and our contract require, normally six years for invoices.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to our using it, and to withdraw consent to analytics at any time. Email contact@digital-tek.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
